LA Woman is the brainchild of Emmy Award-winning journalist Suzanne Marques. She has been covering news, entertainment, and pop culture in the City of Angels for more than twenty years.

She was born and raised in Downey and graduated from USC. She lived in the LBC, and her favorite secret spot remains the Long Beach Peninsula. Before the pandemic, she lived on Love Street in Laurel Canyon, walking to The Country Store and treating herself to Pace when the paycheck hit on Fridays. She's bounced around Santa Monica, lived in the sweetest Spanish rental behind The Little Door in West Hollywood, and now, she lives to the Valley.

A writer and blogger at heart, Suzanne first launched LA Woman in 2007, and it helped her land a coveted entertainment gig, which she relished for nearly a decade. Whether she's anchoring the news, or blogging about her latest discovery, her love for storytelling and community lies at the heart of her journey.

Suzanne’s career highlights include uncovering captivating stories, from a chilling investigation into a dentist accused of murdering two of his wives, that led to her first Emmy Award, to reporting from the red carpets of The Oscars, Golden Globes, and Grammys. Whether she's interviewing A-list icons like George Clooney and Julia Roberts, or digital stars like Jake Paul and Ryan of Ryan’s World, she is driven by her passion to inspire, inform, and connect. Suzanne aims to brings authenticity and heart to every story she tells, and she's just another LA Woman, just trying to figure it all out.
